How Invisalign Straightens Your Teeth
Invisalign gently moves teeth using clear aligners. Each aligner tray is made to fit your teeth. A digital scan or mold helps create your custom set. Every two weeks, you switch to a new aligner that shifts your teeth little by little. Treatment time depends on how much movement is needed.
- The aligners are clear, so they are hard to notice
- They use light pressure to slowly move your teeth
- You need to wear them for at least 22 hours a day for the best results
- You can take them out to eat, drink, and brush
- Regular checkups help track your progress
At Agawam Dental Arts, we design your Invisalign plan to fit your needs. Our team checks your progress and makes changes as needed.
What to Expect During Your Invisalign Treatment
The Invisalign process begins with a consultation to assess your teeth. A digital scan or impression helps create a treatment plan. The aligners are then custom-made for your teeth. You will receive a series of aligners to wear in sequence.
- You wear each aligner for about two weeks before switching to the next
- The aligners gently move teeth into the correct position over time
- Regular checkups help track progress and ensure effectiveness
- Most treatments take about 12 to 18 months, but this varies
- At the end of treatment, retainers help keep teeth in place
At Agawam Dental Arts, we provide detailed guidance throughout the process. Our team ensures you stay comfortable and achieve a straighter smile with Invisalign.
Easy Ways to Keep Your Invisalign Aligners Clean
Keeping your Invisalign aligners clean helps prevent stains and bacteria. A little care goes a long way in keeping them fresh and clear.
- Rinse them with lukewarm water after taking them out
- Use a soft toothbrush and clear antibacterial soap to clean them
- Skip colored toothpaste because it can stain the aligners
- Store them in their case when you are not wearing them
- Only drink water while wearing them
Why Teens and Adults Choose Invisalign
Invisalign is a top choice for teens and adults seeking straighter teeth without traditional metal braces. The clear aligners are easy to wear and do not interfere with daily life. They help you feel confident while improving your smile.
- Teens like Invisalign because they can take out the aligners for sports and social events
- Adults like the clear design that looks professional
- The aligners do not get in the way of talking or eating
- There are no metal brackets or wires to poke or irritate
- Fewer dental visits make Invisalign easy to fit into a busy schedule
At Agawam Dental Arts, we create customized Invisalign plans tailored to your specific needs. Our team ensures you receive the best care for a great smile.
What Happens at Your Invisalign Checkups?
Invisalign checkups help keep your treatment on track. These visits allow the dentist to check your progress and make adjustments as needed.
- Checkups usually happen every six to eight weeks
- The dentist looks at how your teeth are moving
- You may get a new set of aligners
- You can talk about any discomfort or questions
- The dentist gives tips on wearing and cleaning your aligners
Regular visits to Agawam Dental Arts keep everything running smoothly. Our team is here to help you get the best results.
